Sold off by STXfilms to Showtime and Paramount, the first trailer has premiered for the action thriller “The Contractor” starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Kiefer Sutherland, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, JD Pardo and Florian Munteanu.
Pine plays a U.S. special forces sergeant involuntarily discharged. He signs up with an underground private contracting organization and whilst overseas on a covert mission, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy and fighting for his life.
The J.P. Davis-penned project marks the English language film debut for Swedish director Tarik Saleh and is a reunion of “Hell or High Water” stars Pine and Foster.
The film will be released in a limited number of theaters by Paramount Pictures and be available on day-and-date PVOD on April 1st. It will then hit Showtime and Paramount+ later in 2022.
