Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes are reportedly closing details to host this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.
The three comedians are reportedly the only emcees in the mix for the March awards show with former “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm reportedly exiting talks over the weekend according to Variety.
Producer Will Packer had reportedly been toying with including a three-act structure with different emcees every hour. The hosts are expected to be formally announced on “Good Morning America” shortly.
The report comes as the Academy has also announced that there will be a new, fan-voted category whose winner will be announced during the ceremony. Twitter users can vote on their favorite film of 2021 by tweeting out the film’s title with the hashtags #OscarsFanFavorite and #Sweepstakes.
You can vote, or tweet, up to 20 times per day, and the winning film will be announced during the Academy Awards broadcast. You can also vote on the Academy’s website. Voting will take place from February 14th-March 3rd.
The Oscars are set to air on March 27th.
