Only Murders in the Building
Michael Rapaport has landed a recurring role opposite Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez in the second season of Hulu’s hit comedy murder-mystery series “Only Murders in the Building”.

Rapaport will play Detective Kreps, a police detective involved in the new murder case introduced in the first season finale. [Source: AV Club]

Freddy’s Nightmares
Horror streaming service Screambox has acquired rights to the 1980s TV series “Freddy’s Nightmares” – the first time it has been available on a streaming platform.

All two seasons and 44 episodes of the horror series will be available to stream exclusively on Screambox starting February 15th. [Source: Collider]

The Friend
Oscar nominee Naomi Watts is set to star in a series adaptation of Sigrid Nunez’s 2018 novel “The Friend”.

The story follows a writer who adopts a Great Dane that belonged to a deceased friend and mentor. Scott McGehee and David Siegel will direct from their screenplay. [Source: Deadline]

Better Call Saul
AMC has announced its hit drama series “Better Call Saul” is getting three animated spinoffs, including two original series this Spring and a fourth season of the Emmy-winning “Better Call Saul Employee Training” this summer – all on AMC’s digital platforms.

“Slippin’ Jimmy” will be a six-part animated series following the misadventures of a young pre-law Jimmy McGill, inspired by the style of classic 70s-era cartoons. Rhea Seehorn will lead another six-episode animated series titled “Cooper’s Bar” about Cooper (Lou Mustillo) and the unique group of L.A. natives who frequent his neighborhood bar. The White Lotus
Theo James, Meghann Fahy, Will Sharpe will play series regulars and Leo Woodall will recur on the second season of Mike White’s HBO series “The White Lotus”.

They join previously announced stars F. Murray Abraham, Aubrey Plaza, Adam DiMarco, Tom Hollander, Michael Imperioli and Haley Lu Richardson. White again serves as writer, director and executive producer. [Source: THR]
