Guillermo del Toro’s “Nightmare Alley,” the well-reviewed noir starring Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett and released by Searchlight Pictures, has been set for a February 1st release simultaneously on both HBO Max and Hulu.
This is part of a one-year deal between Disney and WarnerMedia that sees select 20th Century Studios and Searchlight titles being released at the same time on both HBO Max and Disney+ or Hulu. “Ron’s Gone Wrong” was the first film to fall under the deal, though “The King’s Man” does not.
That’s not the only Hulu film launch set today. The 20th Century Studios title “No Exit” has locked down a February 25th premiere on both Hulu in the United States, and on Star on Disney+ internationally.
Based on the Taylor Adams novel, the story follows a woman on her way to attend to a family emergency when she becomes stranded in a blizzard.
At a highway rest stop, she finds a girl who has seemingly been abducted in a van and must figure out who is the kidnapper among the strangers around her. Damien Power directs and Scott Frank produces the film starring Havana Rose Liu, Danny Ramirez, David Rysdahl, Mila Harris, and Dennis Haysbert.
