The Batman
Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” has officially scored a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association for “strong violent and disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.” The film reportedly doesn’t have excessive foul language or nudity. [Source: Variety]
Dogman
Caleb Landry Jones (“Nitram”) is set to play the lead in Luc Besson’s “DogMan” to film in May in France and the US. The sprawling story follows a child, bruised by life, who grows to find his salvation through the love of his dogs. Virginie Besson-Silla produces. [Source: Variety]
The Last Movie Stars
Martin Scorsese has come onboard as executive producer on the six-part documentary “The Last Movie Stars” which deals with actors Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. Ethan Hawke directs the project which will premiere exclusively on the CNN+ service. [Source: THR]
Shining Vale
Starz has premiered the first trailer for their new high-concept horror-comedy “Shining Vale” starring Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear, Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey, Dylan Gage, and Mira Sorvino.
The series follows an estranged family trying to reconnect in their new mansion home which turns out to be the site of a triple murder-suicide and other tragedies. The project is currently slated to premiere on March 6th.
Dollface
Finally, the trailer has been released for the second season of the Kat Dennings-led Hulu comedy series “Dollface” which follows a group of women who reunite as they transition into their thirties. Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell, and Esther Povitsky co-star in the series which returns February 11th.
