Sony Pictures has released a two-and-a-half minute clip from its upcoming film adaptation of the “Uncharted” video game franchise.
The clip showcases the film’s recreation of the key action sequence from the third game – namely having Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) having to clamber up a series of netted cargo containers hanging out the back of a military cargo plane in flight.
Though the locale has shifted (over a tropical ocean as opposed to the Arabian desert), some parts are quite faithful to the sequence including some action that defies physics when it wants to.
Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle and Sophia Ali co-star in the Reuben Fletcher-directed film which opens on February 18th.
