“CSI: Vegas,” “Why Women Kill” Renewed

Csi Vegas Renewed But Petersen Out
CBS

CBS has renewed “CSI: Vegas,” the revival of the long-running franchise, for a second season. In the process, it will lose its leading man Gil Grissom (William Petersen).

The series features a mix of original and new cast members and completed its ten-episode first season on December 8th. This marks the only new network show, other than NBC’s “La Brea,” to score a renewal for the 2022-23 season.

Petersen agreed to reprise his onscreen role as Grissom only for the first season but will remain an executive producer of the series. A return for original series star Jorja Fox is possible though not set yet.

New cast members Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez are all set to return.

Speaking of renewals at ViacomCBS, Paramount+ has renewed its popular original dark comedy anthology series “Why Women Kill” for a third season.
