A bidding war has reportedly broken out over a currently untitled racing project that has Brad Pitt attached to star and Joseph Kosinski (“Tron: Legacy,” “Top Gun: Maverick”) attached to direct.
In addition, veteran mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer and screenwriter Ehren Kruger are also onboard. British racing legend Lewis Hamilton is also reportedly involved with the project.
Paramount, MGM, Sony, Universal, Disney Netflix, Apple and Amazon are all said to be in the mix. Specifics of the story however are under wraps.
Nearly a decade ago Pitt and Kosinski were attached to a racing project titled “Go Like Hell,” a project which ended up changing hands and becoming James Mangold’s “Ford v. Ferrari”.
