Oscar winner Christoph Waltz will star in the series “The Consultant” for MGM Television and Amazon Studios.
“Servant” creator Tony Basgallop is behind the darkly comedic workplace thriller that explores a sinister relationship between boss and employee.
The project is inspired by Bentley Little’s 2015 novel which deals with a company that hires a consulting firm to streamline its business practices.
Mr. Patoff, the quirky gentleman who supervises the project, at first seems a nuisance but quickly gains power to the point of enacting arbitrary and invasive changes. Those who defy him are fired… or worse.
Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) is set to direct and executive produce along with Basgallop and Waltz.
