“Crysis” developer Crytek’s 19th century-set bounty hunter shooter game “Hunt: Showdown” is being turned into a live-action series.
In the competitive multiplayer game released in 2019, a bountry hunter must kill a mythical monster in order to claim the bounty and survive long enough to reach an extraction point.
The series will be a part of Binge, the upcoming American games-centric streaming platform (not to be confused with the Australian SVOD service of the same name), which is also developing TV series adaptation of the “Driver” and “System Shock” game franchises.
Allan Ungar and Vince Talenti are producing while Avni Yerli, Faruk Yerli, and Pascal Tonecker will executive produce with a press release suggesting this may not be Binge’s only collaboration with Crytek in the near future.
More details on the “Hunt: Showdown” series will be announced at a later date. Binge will launch in 2022.
