Starz has officially handed out a six-episode order for a new instalment of cult 2009 comedy series “Party Down” about a Los Angeles catering team.
Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Megan Mullally all have closed deals to return for the new season, bringing back all the main cast bar one – Lizzy Caplan.
Caplan has signed up for both the “Fatal Attraction” series remake on Paramount+ and “Fleishman Is In Trouble” in FX with the latter’s shoot overlapping with the mid-January start on “Party Down”.
Lengthy negotiations with the cast were recently completed and original series’ creators/executive producers Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Paul Rudd and Dan Etheridge are back with Enbom serving as showrunner.
