Netflix has renewed a contract with the Pinewood Group for the use of the Shepperton Studios facility – a renewal that will see the streamer double the size of its production space.
Netflix will make use of a major expansion that will add nearly one million square feet of new production space as the overall studio will expand to a total of 17 sound stages.
That will make it one of the largest film and TV studios in the world. Work on the expansion has begun and is due for completion in 2023.
Netflix has previously filmed movies like “The Old Guard” and “Midnight Sky” at the facility.
