Filmmaker Todd Haynes’ “Carol,” an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s “The Price Of Salt,” was a rousing success at Cannes this year and has already got many people talking potential Oscars for its two leads Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.
Mara plays a young department store employee who falls in love with the titular older woman (Blanchett) in the 1950s. Kyle Chandler, Jake Lacy and Sarah Paulson also star in the film which opens in the U.S. on November 20th.
