Following his Emmy win for his work on Netflix’s “Halston,” actor Ewan McGregor spoke with members of the press and was asked how his work on the Disney+ limited series about his “Star Wars” character Obi-Wan Kenobi was going.

The actor confirmed that production has wrapped filming and from the sounds of it he had a far more fun experience making the series than his previous “Star Wars” filming experience. He says (via Variety):

“We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun – I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow. I think it will not disappoint. I think it’s gonna be good. I had a really good time making it and worked with some really wonderful people, lovely people. The new technology we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.”

Hayden Christensen is set to return as Darth Vader in the series, as is Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse as Owen and Beru Lars. Also onboard are Indira Varma, Moses Ingram, Simone Kessell, Sung Kang, Kumail Nanjiani, Rupert Friend, Benny Safdie, and O’Shea Jackson Jr.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is expected to arrive exclusively on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
