LG has reportedly produced a large 325-inch wall-size 8K flatscreen Direct View LED TV worth $1.7 million and weighing in at a little under a metric ton. All the models in this new Direct View LED range (starting at 108 inches) ship in a full flight case.

The models cover 2K, 4K and 8K resolutions along with being available in 16:9 and 32:9 configurations. The screens have a peak brightness of 1200 nits akin to most high-end TVs. [Source: LG]

“Wet Hot American Summer” star Elizabeth Banks and director David Wain will re-team for the movie musical “Where the Fore Are We?” at Amazon Studios. Wain co-wrote and directs while Banks produces.

Pompo The Cinephile
GKIDS announced on Thursday that it has acquired all North American distribution rights to the anime feature “Pompo the Cinephile”. The film follows a talented producer who finally gets her chance to direct a big, delicate drama.

The company will release the Takayuki Hirao-directed film theatrically in both its original Japanese language and an all-new, English dubbed version early next year. [Source: GKIDS]

Island of Winds
Independent Icelandic developer Parity has premiered a trailer for “Island of Winds,” a new story-driven game set across 17th century Iceland and rich in the country’s folklore. The game comes to PC and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2022.

You play as Brynhildur, a witch and member of the Balance Keepers who acquire magical powers from the natural world. You travel nine landscapes from lava fields to treacherous lagoons and dark beaches on a mission to find your mentor and stop a rising darkness.
