Krysten Ritter has joined Elizabeth Olsen in the cast of David E. Kelley’s forthcoming HBO Max limited series “Love & Death” inspired by the true-crime book “Evidence of Love”.

The drama two church-going couples, enjoying small-town family life in Texas, until somebody picks up an axe. Olsen stars as Candy Montgomery while Lily Rabe will portray her friend Betty Gore. Ritter plays Candy’s BFF Sherry Cleckler. [Source: TV Line]

We Own This City
HBO is rounding out the cast for the limited series “We Own This City” which hails from “The Wire” executive producers David Simon and George Pelecanos.

Thaddeus Street, Tray Chaney and Chris Clanton, Jermaine Crawford and Nathan E. Corbett have joined the six-hour limited series that chronicles the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force. [Source: Deadline]

Tokyo Vice
Japanese stars Ito Hideaki, Kasamatsu Sho and Yamashita Tomohisa have scored series regular roles in Michael Mann’s Japanese and English-language already completed crime drama series “Tokyo Vice” for HBO Max.

They join Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Rachel Keller, Ella Rumpf and Kikuchi Rinko in the series inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s 2009 memoir about working the Tokyo crime beat for twelve years. Mann directed the pilot while Destin Daniel Cretton also directs. [Source: Variety]

Devil in Ohio
Emily Deschanel is set to lead the new eight-episode Netflix limited series “Devil in Ohio” based on the true story novel “Devil in Ohio” by Daria Polatin. The show is in production in Vancouver.

In the series, hospital psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis shelters a mysterious cult escapee and her world is turned upside down as the strange girl’s arrival threatens to tear her own family apart. [Source: Variety]
