Alcon Entertainment has hired Striker Entertainment to handle the licensing of consumer products for two of its valuable sci-fi franchises – “Blade Runner” and “The Expanse”.
Striker will oversee fashion partnerships, collectables, board games, action figures, paper goods, apparel, accessories and prop replicas from both properties. Specifics of any of the potential products are unavailable.
The timing comes ahead of the upcoming animated series “Blade Runner: Black Lotus” on Adult Swim and CrunchyRoll later in 2021, and the sixth and final season of “The Expanse” on Amazon Prime this Fall.
“Blade Runner” remains one of the most celebrated sci-fi films to date (along with its highly regarded sequel, game and other material), while “The Expanse” remains one of the best-reviewed series on television with its third through fifth seasons scoring a perfect 100% each on Rotten Tomatoes (and its second a 95%).
