Wunmi Mosaku (“Loki,” “Lovecraft Country”) is set to join HBO’s “We Own This City” six-hour limited series which hails from “The Wire duo David Simon and George Pelecanos. Jon Bernthal, Josh Charles and Jamie Hector also star with filming to kick off imminently.

The story chronicles the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force — and the corruption and moral collapse that befell the city. Mosaku will play an attorney assigned to the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice.[Source: TV Line]

City on Fire
Apple has handed out a series order for an eight-episode first season of an ongoing series adaptation of Garth Risk Hallberg’s novel “City on Fire” which hails from “Gossip Girl” showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

The story follows an NYU student shot in Central Park on the 4th of July, 2003. She’s soon revealed to be the crucial connection between a series of mysterious city-wide fires, the downtown music scene, and a wealthy uptown real estate family fraying under the strain of many secrets. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
Chandler Kinney (“Lethal Weapon”) and Maia Reficco (“Evita”) have landed the leads in “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” which hails from creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Filming begins this summer at Upriver Studios in New York.

A group of teen girls find themselves tormented by an unknown assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own. Kinney plays an aspiring director and horror movie buff while Reficco is a striving, sardonic track star who spent a summer in juvenile detention. [Source: TV Line]

Joe Exotic
William Fichtner will play Rick Kirkham in the Peacock series “Joe Exotic,” replacing the previously announced Dennis Quaid who has exited due to a scheduling conflict.

Fichtner joins Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin, John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic, Brian Van Holt as John Reinke, Sam Keeley as John Finlay and Natt Wolff as Travis Maldonado in the mini-series based on the Wondery Podcast. [Source: Variety]
