Tehran
Glenn Close is set to star in the second season of the original espionage thriller series “Tehran” on the Apple TV+ service. Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi also star.
The series follows Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan as she goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran. Close will play Marjan Montazeri, a British woman living in the Iranian city. [Source: THR]
Gossip Girl
The premiere episode of the “Gossip Girl” reboot will air on The CW on July 9th, the day after it debuts on HBO Max. Reportedly there are no plans at present for the broadcaster to air more than just the first episode.
The revival of the series follows a new group of students on Manhattan’s Upper East Side as they explore how much the world has changed since the events of the original show. [Source: Variety]
The Offer
Juno Temple (“Palmer,” “Ted Lasso”) will join Miles Teller in Paramount+ limited series “The Offer” which deals with the behind-the-scenes struggles to make “The Godfather”. Temple plays Bettye McCartt, an assistant to Teller’s producer Al Ruddy and a powerhouse in her own right. Matthew Goode, Dan Fogler, Giovanni Ribisi and Colin Hanks co-star. [Source: Deadline]
Jellystone
HBO Max has released a trailer for “Jellystone,” a new animated comedy series that sees the return of classic Hanna-Barbera characters Yogi Bear, Boo Boo and Cindy. Helmed by acclaimed showrunner and executive producer C.H. Greenblatt, this reimagines the beloved characters for today. The first season kicks off July 29th.
Loki
A new featurette is out regarding Sophia Di Martino’s character of ‘Sylvie’ in Marvel Studios’ “Loki”. The clip touches upon her character along with teasing what’s to come in the remaining three episodes including the fate of the Sacred Timeline.
