Some new set photos from “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” have gone online, these ones offering the first look at Helen Mirren in costume for her role of the demi-god villain Hespera.
Mirren is seen sharing a scene with Zachary Levi as the titular hero, the pair appear to be having a fast-food lunch and stern conversation.
The shots follow on from director David F. Sandberg releasing an official photo of the Shazam Family donning their new superhero suits but offered no shots of the three key new female characters played by Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler.
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” also stars Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Marta Milans as Mama Rosa. The film arrives in cinemas June 2nd 2023.
