Searchlight Pictures has premiered the trailer for the Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain-led “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”.
Michael Showalter helms the film about the rise, fall and redemption of infamous televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker during the 1970s and 1980s.
From humble beginnings, they created the world’s largest religious broadcasting network and theme park which came tumbling down when their many secrets involving financial improprieties and adultery were exposed.
Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Jaeger, Cherry Jones, Fredric Lehne, Louis Cancelmi, Joe Ando-Hirsh, Randy Havens and Gabriel Olds co-star in the film which opens in cinemas on September 17th.
