The creative team behind the celebrated and Oscar-nominated 2011 film adaptation of John le Carre’s “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” are reuniting.
That film’s director Tomas Alfredson and writer Peter Straughan are re-teaming for “Europa,” a major eight-part TV series adaptation of Dave Hutchinson’s “Fractured Europe Sequence” novels for Studiocanal and Seven Stories.
The espionage sci-fi thriller series is set in a near-future Europe which has splintered into countless tiny nation-states after being ravaged by a pandemic and economic decay.
A chef based out of a small restaurant in Poland is drawn into a new career as a high-risk smuggler on a map that constantly redraws itself.
Anand Tucker, Colleen Woodcock, Robyn Slovo, Straughan, and Alfredson will executive produce.
