Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Queen’s Gambit,” “Emma”) is in negotiations to star alongside the confirmed Ralph Fiennes in the dark comedy psychological thriller “The Menu” at Searchlight.
The story is set in the world of eccentric culinary culture and centers on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu.
Taylor-Joy will play one half of the couple, Fiennes plays the chef. Will Tracy and Seth Reiss penned the script.
Part of HBO’s “Succession” creative team is onboard as Mark Mylod will direct while Adam McKay and Betsy Koch will produce.
Taylor-Joy will next be seen in Edgar Wright’s “Last Night In Soho” and Robert Eggers’ “The Northman” and will soon begin filming George Miller’s “Furiosa” alongside Chris Hemsworth.
