Lord & Miller Set Live-Action “Strays”

Universal Pictures has pre-emptively bought the live-action adult comedy “Strays” which boasts a strong creative pedigree.

Writer Dan Perrault (“American Vandal”) created the original story which follows an abandoned dog who teams up with other strays to get revenge on his former owner.

Emmy-winning “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar” director Josh Greenbaum will helm the project which will be produced by Louis Leterrier (“Lupin”), Erik Feig (“La La Land”) and filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller (“Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse”) for Picturestart.

This film falls under Lord and Miller’s first-look deal with Universal and is hot off their success producing Netflix’s “The Mitchells Vs. The Machines” which scored not only great acclaim but has just passed “Thunder Force” as Netflix’s most popular new movie of 2021.
