PS5 Gets Color Controllers & More Games

Ps5 Gets Color Controllers More Games
Sony Interactive Ent.

PlayStation has announced Cosmic Red and Midnight Black color versions of the PS5’s DualSense controller.

A brief promo trailer for the new colors is out and has sparked obvious speculation that official Sony black and red color plates for the PS5 console are also on the way, though Sony has made no indication of that.

The announcement also comes as Wired has done a feature piece on the console where PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst confirmed the internal group of studios has over 25 PS5 titles in development – nearly half of which are entirely new IPs. Several of these are expected to hit the console later this year.

Interesting to note is that the number is just the games from their first-party developers, not third party developers so doesn’t include games like critically acclaimed PS5-exclusive “Returnal”.

The feature also goes into the use of the console by its owners, indicating that in its first six months, users logged 81% more time on their console than they did on the PS4 during the same period back in 2013-2014. In addition, 11% more units of games have been sold.
