Guy Ritchie re-teams with Jason Statham for “Wrath of Man,” an action film that does away with much of Ritchie’s signature playfulness which blanketed his last film “The Gentlemen,” and delivers a straight-up gritty revenge heist thriller.
A new red-band trailer for the project has been released below. The film sees Statham playing a new armored truck security guard that shocks his co-workers with his proficiency when one of the vans comes under attack, and soon his ultimate motive becomes clear.
The trailer, unfortunately, spoils some (but not all) of the film’s twists – its structure jumps about in time and also focuses on different characters in the story at points.
Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonzo, Raul Castillo, Deobia Oparei, Eddie Marsan, and Scott Eastwood co-star in the film which Ritchie co-wrote with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. The film is now out in Australian cinemas, and opens in U.S. cinemas on May 7th.
