“Luther” creator Neil Cross completely reimagines Paul Theroux’s haunting tale “The Mosquito Coast” into a contemporary spy thriller series for the Apple TV+ service and the full trailer for it has dropped.
Filmmaker Rupert Wyatt (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) directs the seven-episode limited series which serves as a prequel of sorts to the original 1986 Peter Weir-directed film about an idealist who uproots his family to Central America, only for them to lose everything.
Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Gabriel Bateman and Logan Polish lead the cast of the new version which debuts on Apple TV+ on April 30th.
