Black Bear Pictures (“The Imitation Game”) has optioned the rights to Kate Quinn’s novel “The Rose Code” and is developing it as a scripted TV series.

Barry Jenkins
Barry Jenkins and his Pastel production company have moved their overall TV deal from Amazon to HBO and its HBO Max streaming sibling. Under the pact, A24 (“Moonlight”) will executive produce all HBO/HBO Max Pastel projects. [Source: The Live Feed]
Head of the Class
HBO Max has handed out a series order to a reboot of late 1980s multi-camera comedy “Head of the Class” from writers Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen and executive producer Bill Lawrence. Jorge Diaz, Jolie Hoang Rappaport, Gavin Lewis and Dior Goodjohn co-star.

NBC has given a series order to the drama “Ordinary Joe” which explores the three parallel lives of the show’s main character (James Wolk) after he makes a pivotal choice at a crossroads in his life – a choice of love, loyalty or passion.
