Forest Whitaker will join Tom Hardy in the Netflix crime drama “Havoc” which hails from “The Raid” writer/director Gareth Evans.
After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective (Hardy) must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unravelling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.
The film is the first under a new exclusive multi-year deal for Evans to produce and direct films for the streamer. Evans also recently created the acclaimed series “Gangs of London”.
Whitaker currently stars in the Epix series “Godfather of Harlem” with that show’s second season arriving next month.
