Five Eyes
Former “Mad Dogs” alum Max Beesley has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie’s action spy thriller formerly known as “Five Eyes” at Miramax and STX. Jason Statham, Josh Hartnett, Aubrey Plaza and Cary Elwes star.
Statham plays an MI6 agent recruited by a global intelligence agency to track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology. Beesley plays a respectable lawyer and consigliere to a billionaire arms broker (Hartnett). [Source: Deadline]

Netflix has made a pre-emptive deal for Dan Kunka’s script “Lift” with Simon Kinberg and Matt Reeves’ production companies attached.
The story sees a female master thief and her FBI agent ex-boyfriend teaming up to steal $100 million in gold bullion being transported on a 777 passenger flight from London to Zurich. [Source: Yahoo]

Imaginarium Productions has optioned film rights to Catriona Ward’s third novel “The Last House on Needless Street”. The story follows Ted, who lives with his daughter Lauren and his cat Olivia in an ordinary house at the end of an ordinary street. Annie and the Orphans
Playwright Lindsey Ferrentino is adapting her stage show “Amy and the Orphans” into a feature film at Netflix with Ferrentino onboard to write and direct.
The story follows estranged siblings whose elderly father dies and are worried about how to break the bad news to their sister who has Down syndrome and has lived in a state home for years. [Source: Variety]
Forspoken
Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for “Forspoken,” the game formerly known as “Project Athia,” with “Charlie’s Angels” alum Ella Balinska revealed as the one doing the motion capture and voice acting of protagonist Frey Holland, an ordinary woman who gets involved in a mystical adventure. The game is expected to arrive in 2022.
