Outlander
Starz has officially renewed its time travel period drama “Outlander” for a seventh season. The order comes as the show’s sixth season is currently in production.
As usual, the just ordered season will adapt one of Diana Gabaldon’s books over its 12-episode run – in this case, the seventh book “An Echo in the Bone”. The author has published eight books in the series so far with a ninth forthcoming. [Source: TV Line]
Just Beyond
“500 Days of Summer” and “The Amazing Spider-Man” director Marc Webb has been set to direct the first two episodes horror-comedy anthology series “Just Beyond” for the Disney+ service.
Seth Grahame-Smith is writing and showrunning the eight-episode middle-grade targeted horror anthology based on R.L. Stine’s graphic novels. Filming is now underway in Atlanta. [Source: Heat Vision]
Atlanta
Production on the third and fourth season of FX’s multi-Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy series “Atlanta” is reportedly set to get underway in early April in Europe. Both seasons will be shot together starting in London before heading to Amsterdam and Paris and then back to Atlanta. [Source: Deadline]
The Descendants: The Royal Wedding
Disney Channel has ordered the animated special “Descendants: The Royal Wedding” which set to premiere this summer on the network. Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart among others will star in the special which will also pay memory to late cast member Cameron Boyce.
Van Helsing
Syfy has released a teaser for the fifth and final season of “Van Helsing” which will return for its last chapter on April 16th. Thirteen more episodes are coming with the new season in which Vanessa, Violet and Jack will risk everything to finally bring an end to the Dark One once and for all.
