Chloe Zhao’s Golden Globe-winning “Nomadland” is ditching its European theatrical plans and will premiere on the Disney+ streaming service’s Star hub.
The Frances McDormand-led Searchlight Pictures title will now premiere on ‘Star’ in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland on April 30th and be made available to all Disney+ subscribers at no additional charge.
That’s over two weeks out from when cinemas are allowed to reopen in the UK on May 17th when the film will also be available for exhibitors to program if they choose.
