Apple TV+ has ordered a Korean-language animated sci-fi thriller series based on the popular webcomic “Dr. Brain” and starring “Parasite” actor Lee Sun-Kyun.
The series follows a neuroscientist who is obsessive about figuring out new technologies to access the consciousness and memories of the brain.
His life goes sideways when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident, and he uses his skills to access memories from his wife’s brain to piece together what actually happened and why.
The series will be written and directed by acclaimed “I Saw The Devil” filmmaker Kim Jee-Woon and produced through YG Entertainment. Production is currently underway with plans to launch later this year.
