Henry Cavill Teases “Mass Effect” Project?

The other day “Man of Steel” actor Henry Cavill took to Instagram and posted what appears to be a reference to a new project.

The photo sees him being worked on in a make-up chair on the set of “The Witcher” whilst checking out some sort of multi-page document with the camera having somewhat blurred the words. Cavill includes the caption: “Secret project? Or just a handful of paper with random words on it…. Guess you’ll have to wait and see. Happy hump day all.”

The website Gamepressure have managed to use software to take away the blurring of the text and found some key words – “Cerberus”, “Reaper”, “Geth” and “Tali’Zorah”. They soon figured out the text was taken from the wikipedia entry for the third game in the celebrated “Mass Effect” sci-fi video game series.

A remaster of the original trilogy is set for release in May, while game developer Bioware is in the early stages of development of a new entry in the series – one that picks up after the events of “Mass Effect 3” rather than sidesteps them like the most recent game “Mass Effect: Andromeda” did.

Understandably speculation about the photo is high, ranging from Cavill brushing up on his lore before the ‘Legendary Edition’ release of the original trilogy (he’s a fan), to Cavill being involved in either a voice or mo-cap capacity on the new game, to even talk of a potential TV series or movie adaptation with Cavill in a role.

For now, the mystery will have to linger.
