Single Drunk Female
Freeform has handed out a ten-episode series order for the Sofia Black-D’Elia led comedy “Single Drunk Female”. Simone Finch penned the script while Ally Sheedy, Rebecca Henderson, Sasha Compère, Lily Mae Harrington and Garrick Bernard co-star.
The series follows irreverent alcoholic Samantha Fink, who, after a spectacularly embarrassing public breakdown, is forced to move back home with her mother to sober up and avoid jail time. But when her childhood BFF reveals surprising news, she realises she can no longer qualify as a party girl. [Source: Deadline]
The Boys
Amazon’s “The Boys” showrunner Eric Kripke created The CW’s long-running “Supernatural”. With the latter show now ended, he’s bringing several writers and producers over to the former for its third season.
Meredith Glynn, David Reed, and Jim Michaels have all hopped onboard “The Boys” in executive producer functions. The new season also sees “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles joining the mix. Production recently got underway on new episodes. [Source: Variety]
Pacific Rim: The Black
Netflix has premiered a new trailer for “Pacific Rim: The Black,” the animated series based on the giant robots vs. kaiju films. This series follows two siblings who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents. The series debuts on Netflix starting March 4th.
Godzilla vs. Kong
A few weeks out from the release of Adam Wingard’s “Godzilla vs. Kong,” a new clip has been released following its premiere during IGN Fan Fest.
The clip sees the two titanic monsters meeting for the first time in the film and laying waste to a bunch of naval hardware. Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kyle Chandler, and Julian Denison star in the film which debuts on HBO Max and in theaters on March 31st.
