Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington are set to star in filmmaker Paul Feig’s next feature “The School for Good and Evil” at Netflix.
Based on Soman Chainani’s best-seller, the story follows best friends Sophie and Agatha – students at the titular school where ordinary boys and girls are trained to be fairy-tale heroes and villains.
Sophie has princess ambitions, Agatha seems a natural fit for the villains – but when the girls find their fortunes reversed their friendship will be put to the test.
Washington will play Professor Dovey, the Dean of Good, and Theron will play Lady Lesso, the Dean of the School for Evil.
David Magee (“Life of Pi”) and Laura Solon (“Let It Snow”) will write the screenplay. Feig will also produce alongside Laura Fischer, Joe Roth, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum and Jane Startz.
