Following in the wake of the news that CBS is cancelling “NCIS: New Orleans” and planning “NCIS: Hawaii,” another procedural franchise on the network is getting a shake-up.

“Chicago Fire” executive producer Derek Haas is penning the pilot script for “FBI: International,” a third series in the “FBI” franchise following the original (in its third season) and the spin-off “FBI: Most Wanted” (in its second season).

The series would focus on the FBI’s international operations. Haas is expected to serve as showrunner and will executive produce alongside Dick Wolf, Peter Jankowski and Arthur Forney.

It will also be the third major crime procedural spin-off targeting a launch next season alongside the aforementioned “NCIS: Hawaii” and a revival of the original “CSI” titled “CSI: Vegas”.
