“The Mandalorian” star Pedro Pascal, “Guardians of the Galaxy” actress Karen Gillan and “Borat” sequel breakout Maria Bakalova are set to join Judd Apatow’s latest meta-comedy feature “The Bubble”.
That’s not all though as Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann and Peter Serafinowicz will also star in the film which will shoot from next week.
The story follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a studio franchise film. It is said to be in part inspired by the living and working conditions impacting large scale productions last year such as “Jurassic Park: Dominion”.
Gillan and Pascal will play the made-up franchise’s stars while Mann and Duchovny will play a once-married acting duo now forced to quarantine under one roof.
Apatow is directing from a script he co-wrote with Pam Brady. He will also produce while Barry Mendel will executive produce.
