Michelle Williams has signed on to play legendary singer Peggy Lee in the biopic “Fever” to be directed by Todd Haynes.
The project is based on a Nora Ephron screenplay which was delayed after Ephron died in 2012. Doug Wright (“Quills”) is now writing the project.
Haynes and Williams previously teamed on “Wonderstruck”. Reese Witherspoon, Marc Platt, Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon are producing the project with pop superstar Billie Eilish in talks to come on board as executive producer.
