Scoring both Golden Globe and SAG nominations this week for her portrayal of Princess Diana in “The Crown”, Emma Corrin has now scored a major film role.

The actress will join singer Harry Styles in the Amazon Studios romantic drama “My Policeman” based on the acclaimed novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts.

The story takes place in the late 1990s when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into the home of Marion (Corrin) and Tom (Styles) triggers the exploration of seismic events from forty years previous.

Things then flashback to the 1950s when Tom and Patrick engaged in a passionate relationship at a time when homosexuality was illegal.

Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers, Sarah Schechter, Cora Palfrey and Phillip Herd produce.

Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage will direct from a script by Oscar and Emmy nominee Ron Nyswaner.
