Paramount Pictures has officially set a March 4th premiere date for both the PVOD release of “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” and the premiere of the first six episodes of spin-off series “Kamp Koral”.
The film, which also got a new trailer today which you can see below, will be available to either rent directly from AppleTV, Prime Video, Vudu and other digital stores, or will be available to stream on Paramount+ service.
CBS All Access will rebrand as Paramount+ on that day, making this a ‘launch’ title as such. “Kamp Koral” will be exclusive to Paramount+.
Previously titled “It’s a Wonderful Sponge” and scored by Hans Zimmer, the film will be the first 3D computer-animated SpongeBob movie and is dubbed a love letter to the franchise according to original creator Steven Hillenburg.
