“Bridgerton” Renewed For Season 2

Bridgerton Renewed For Season 2
Netflix

Netflix has announced that its sexy period drama “Bridgerton” has been renewed for a second season.

The order comes as little surprise, the Shondaland series was a massive hit for the streaming service with around 63 million estimated to sample the series in its first four weeks.

The announcement was made in the form of a letter from the gossipy Lady Whistledown herself and promises the return of the Bridgerton family and the rest of the Regency London society scene.

While the first season focused heavily on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and her explosive courtship with committed bachelor the Duke of Hastings (Rege-Jean Page), the second will shift more to her hunky brother Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey).

No further details have been released for the second season story arc. The series is the first under Shonda Rhimes’ overall deal at Netflix.
