Producer Jon Landau has revealed new concept art by Jonathan Back for James Cameron’s “Avatar” sequels. The art offers a first look at the new location of the Metkayina Village in the sequels with the first of these to include much more ocean-based action. The first of the sequels is currently targeting a December 22nd 2022 release. [Source: Instagram]
Criterion Collection
The Criterion Collection have announced their April titles which include the 4K restoration of Bong Joon Ho’s “Memories of Murder” along with Olivier Assayas’ “Irma Vep,” “Antony Mann’s “The Furies, Frank Borzage’s “History is Made at Night” and Jean-Luc Godard’s “Masculin Feminin”. The news comes as Bong has also been announced as the president of the jury panel at this year’s Venice Film Festival [Source: Criterion]
Razorblade Tears
Paramount Players has won the screen rights to S.A. Cosby’s new Southern noir novel “Razorblade Tears” about two men who team up to seek vengeance for their murdered sons in the face of intolerance and prejudice in the rural South. Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman are producing the feature, which has yet to attach a director. [Source: Variety]
Hitman 3
IO Interactive has released the 4K launch trailer for “Hitman III,” the clip coming ahead of the game’s release on Wednesday. The third and final entry in the ‘World of Assassination’ trilogy, the game sees Agent 47, his handler Diana Burnwood and long-lost friend Lucas Grey teaming to finally eliminate the partners of Providence.
