Daniel Dae Kim and Tony Goldwyn have been announced as the stars of “The Hot Zone: Anthrax,” the second installment in National Geographic and Scott Free’s disease-focused anthology series.
The six-episode show centers on the anonymous bioterror attacks that caused panic across the U.S. mere weeks after 9/11. USAMRIID scientists, FBI agents and Justice Department personnel joined forces to triumph over the national threat that claimed five lives and left seventeen others ill. [Source: Variety]
Queen Sugar
OWN has renewed the series “Queen Sugar” for a sixth season, the report comes ahead of the fifth season premiere on February 16th. The fifth season was completely revamped in the wake of the pandemic production shutdown and the Black Lives Matter protests that swept the country. [Source: Variety]

TNT’s “Animal Kingdom” has been renewed for the sixth and final season, the news comes ahead of the fifth season premiere this Summer. “Animal Kingdom” reached 27 million viewers in season four across all platforms. [Source: TNT]
The Flash
Jon Cor (“Shadowhunters”) has scored a recurring role as DC villain Mark Stevens, a.k.a Chillblaine, in the seventh season of The CW’s “The Flash” series which returns February 23rd.
Chillblaine is a scientist and charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. Armed with his own cold weapons, he’ll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash. [Source: TV Line]
Cruel Summer
Amazon Prime has secured the exclusive first window worldwide rights, excluding North America and China, to the Jessica Biel-produced psychological thriller series “Cruel Summer”. The series will launch later this year following its U.S. premiere on Freeform later this year.
The story takes place over three summers in the 1990s when a beautiful and popular teen goes missing, and a seemingly unrelated girl transforms from a sweet and awkward outlier to the most popular girl in town to the most despised person in America.
