The Pembrokshire Murders
The Luke Evans-led Wales-set murder investigation limited series “The Pembrokeshire Murders” has given UK broadcaster ITV its biggest new drama launch since “The Durrells” back in 2016.

World Productions (“Line of Duty,” “Bodyguard”) created the three-part series which debuted on Monday to 6.3 million viewers in overnight ratings. BritBox will premiere the series in the U.S. later in 2021. [Source: Broadcast Now]

Des and Lou
NBC is developing the light procedural series “Des & Lou” which is described as “Mission Impossible meets Will & Grace”. Hazy Mills, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner will produce for Universal TV.

The story follows a charming Spanish spy working for Interpol and a cynical American agent from the CIA who form a joint task force to stop the plans of a dangerous organization. David Slack (“APB,” “Teen Titans,” “Person of Interest”) executive produces. [Source: Deadline]

Borgen
“The Rain” stars Mikkel Boe Folsgaard and Lucas Lynggaard Tonnesen have joined the cast of the new season of the global hit Danish political drama “Borgen” on Netflix. The series will relaunch on the streamer after almost a decade-long hiatus.

Creator Adam Price is re-teaming with the series’ original stars Sidse Babett Knudsen and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen who will reprise their roles as Danish Prime Minister Birgitte Nyborg and television journalist Katrine Fonsmark, respectively, for what will be the show’s fourth season. [Source: THR]

Losing Alice
The trailer is out for the Apple TV+ acquisition “Losing Alice” starring Ayelet Zurer and created, penned and directed by Sigal Alvin. Zurer plays Alice, a 48-year-old female film director who feels irrelevant since raising her family.

After a brief encounter on the train, she becomes obsessed with a 24-year-old screenwriter femme fatale (Lihi Kornowski) and eventually surrenders her moral integrity in order to achieve power and success. The series kicks off on January 22nd.
