First Disney+ ‘Star’ Titles Announced

The first wave of titles has been announced for the ‘Star’ section of Disney+, the new home for ‘mature’ content on the service in markets outside the United States.

At launch on February 23rd, it will include a range of titles from ABC, FOX and FX networks in the U.S. plus some select Hulu originals. These include recent shows like “Atlanta,” “Big Sky,” “Black-ish” and “Love, Victor” along with older shows like “24,” “Desperate Housewives,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Lost,” “Prison Break” and “The X-Files”.

Star will sit integrated alongside Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney and National Geographic on the Disney+ main menu on Disney+ in all countries it’s available outside of the United States.

This includes various countries in Europe along with Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. An exception is Latin America where it will get its own stand-alone service from June. Subscription pricing will increase in most overseas markets at the launch of Star.
