“Magic Mike” actor Channing Tatum is in final negotiations to star opposite Sandra Bullock in the “Romancing the Stone”-esque action-adventure “The Lost City of D” at Paramount Pictures.
Adam and Aaron Nee helm the film in which Bullock plays a reclusive romance novelist who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum).
A kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger than any of her paperback fictions. The project had previously been tipped as a potential reunion of Bullock and her “The Proposal” co-star Ryan Reynolds.
Oren Uziel wrote the original treatment from Seth Gordon’s idea, while Dana Fox penned the most recent draft. Gordon, Bullock and Liza Chasin will produce.
