Ben Affleck is set to star in a Houdini biopic which “10 Cloverfield Lane” director Dan Trachtenberg has been developing for years.
As part of a feature piece on former Warner Bros. executive Jeff Robinov, THR revealed Affleck’s connection to the project which will tackle the story of the escapist’s legendary life.
William Kalush and Larry Sloman’s book “The Secret Life of Houdini” is being used as source material for the project. Trachtenberg has a new entry in the “Predator” franchise lined up in his near future, while Affleck is being eyed for George Clooney’s “The Tender Bar”.
