Paramount Pictures has pulled the Michael B. Jordan-led spy thriller “Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse” and its still very much in development “Micronauts” movie from its theatrical release schedule.
In June, Paramount announced it was moving ‘Remorse’ back five months from October 2nd this year to February 26th 2021. Now it has removed it from that slot altogether and has posted in Lee Daniels’ untitled Billie Holiday biopic for that date.
First published in 1993, “WIthout Remose” is an origin story set in the 1970s about John Kelly, a Navy SEAL who avenges his wife’s murder by brutal drug gangsters in Baltimore only to find himself inside a larger conspiracy.
Jodie Turner-Smith, Brett Gelman, Jamie Bell, Jacob Scipio, Jack Kesy, Todd Lasance, Luke Mitchell and Cam Gigandet co-star while Stefano Sollima (“Sicario: Day of the Soldado”) is directing from a script by Taylor Sheridan (“Wind River,” “Hell or High Water”).
In July it was reported that Amazon Studios was near a deal for the worldwide rights to the film, a report neither the studio or streamer confirmed. This removal suggests there may be something to that story.
