“Ms. Marvel,” “Moon Knight” Production Updates

Filming has already begun on the Marvel Studios “Ms. Marvel” TV series in Atlanta for the Disney+ service, with “Narcos” cinematographer Carmen Cabana also coming onboard to lens the series reports Discussing Film.

Actress Iman Vellani was recently confirmed for the title role of Kamala Khan, the young Pakistani-American capable of stretching her limbs to great lengths and widths and can also grow or shrink to incredible sizes.

British writer Bisha K. Ali is attached to write and showrun the series while Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon were recently brought on board to direct episodes.

That’s not all though as the site also reports that Marvel Studios is reportedly planning to start the production on the “Moon Knight” TV series in early 2021 in Budapest, right after the show’s star Oscar Isaac finishes filming for HBO’s limited series “Scenes from a Marriage”.

All episodes are set to be directed by Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab, with Gregory Middleton (“Watchmen”) and Stefania Cella (“Morbius”) serving as cinematographer and production designer, respectively. The series is being written and developed by “The Umbrella Academy” showrunner Jeremy Slater.
